Matthew Uebele

Matt Uebele has served in various capacities within the Compliance departments of Managed Care Organizations for the past 15 years.  Matt career has focused on ensuring plans and their delegated vendors maintained the highest standard of compliance.   

As the Director of Medicare Operational Compliance, Matt assisted an MA-PD plan with understanding how they can meet state and federal requirements while tailoring their operations to achieve business goals and their client’s needs.  Matt developed a best-in-class monitoring program which assisted business units in identifying and correcting their internal errors.  Matt developed his company’s processes to meet CMS Reporting requirements and Data Validation audits.  Matt had primary responsibility for compliance oversight of its companies’ delegated vendors, ensuring that the pharmacy benefit manager, call center and supplemental benefit vendors, maintained compliance with CMS requirements and company policies.  Matt founded and chaired the First-Tier, Downstream and Related Entity (FDR) Oversight Committee, bringing together leaders from various areas to address issues and concerns regarding vendor compliance.  Matt handed all complaints received from CMS (CTMs), formulating the responses and implementing corrective actions when necessary.  Matt regularly collaborated with CMS plan managers and other officials to understand their interpretations of new guidance and maintain an open and beneficial relationship.  

Matt holds a Law Degree from Widener University School of Law, where he also obtained a certification from the school’s Health Law department.   Matt has spoken at conferences on the topics of vendor oversight and developing appropriate responses to complaints and grievances.
